By any chance was that picture taken yesterday on April Fool’s Day when the cat may have been plotting evil April Fool’s jokes? Because I think I caught the same expression on my daughter’s face after she had filled my oldest son’s piggy banks and trophy cup on his dresser to the brim with water so he would soak himself (and the wooden dresser) with water when he picked them up. (Fortunately the boy squanders his money and had no cash in the piggy bank.)
Cats in general are evil. I have this on confidence from my friend Brian Rabbit who has solid inside information (he speaks cat). But this cat…..eeeerrriie.
This one’s smiling, and that means only evil things.
Jane,
I think your cat may either be
A) hung over
Or B) in need of castor oil

Definitely a smile. Whether it is the result of a warm, sunny spot to nap, or due to a perfect plot against the dog is probably immaterial.
I definitely don’t think they are mutually exclusive – smiling and plotting the dog’s demise. 😉
