I read Get Known Before the Book Deal – it’s part of the reason I started my blog!
I’ve also taken to reading books represented by literary agents I’m considering submitting to. For example, I read Goose Girl by Shannon Hale, thinking I might be able to draw a good parallel between that book and the book I’m shopping around. I really got into it and just finished reading three more of Hale’s books!
I also picked up Murder 101 by Maggie Barbieri and found the main character delightfully flawed, so I read the two sequels.
