Hi Kris, we were across the street from the Cadillac Bar. I shudder to think of what could have transpired with the sundry pork products had I rode the bull... good thing we kept walking to the car.
The last time we went somewhere with a DJ to dance, we were the only people there (because it was 3 hours too early for the cool kids) and we still had to pay him $20 to get him to play anything we knew... however, he did not send us to the piano bar or a choir concert or a barbershop quartet, so I guess cash is the answer!

LOL! At least it sounds like the food hangover was worth it! You made me hungry!

I loved your description of feeling like you were crashing a party of cool kids! We went out to Cadillac Ranch a couple of weeks ago, and it was a similar experience! At least since I was the most sober person there, I was able to distinguish myself fairly well on the mechanical bull! (Now there's an image you don't want in your head!)

It could be worse. A couple of friends went to a trendy club with a DJ. They were dancing along and, because of their kids, they were able to sing along to all of the "cool" songs. The DJ got their attention and said something along the lines of, "You know, there's a piano bar upstairs. You might be more comfortable up there." Ouch!

LOL!

I had much the same experience the other night after the office luncheon. I didn't get an evening out, that came a couple days later, and I didn't have any physical complaints, but man...

the weird dreams!

Why? I didn't eat anything out of the usual: ham, cheesy potatoes, some vegetables...

But I dreamed of my ex-husband wanting me back, his first wife with him, and cheering me on each time I told him where to go, and the two of them hanging out with me.
