Yesterday they started playing Ode to Joy.

So delighted to hear the music and see the proud expression on his face. I was completely convinced the lessons had indeed began again. Well, I did enjoy it (over and over), but apparently he has embellished it more now. Next visit!!

It does make a funny story Jane. you are such a good Mom I’m sure only something good will happen from your patience. Maybe a new piece by my next visit?????

When my older two learned it during piano lessons, they tried to overdose me on the song, but it never worked! My oldest even played it one night when we had the priest over to our house for a get-together. Talk about brownie points – - – there’s nothing like having your kid playing a song that had been one of the hymns in that week’s service!!!

If you really want to get your boys motivated, just point out to them that when they get older they can be keyboardists in a band, which will impress all the chicks!
